Retreating, regrouping, and rearguard actions have been a feature of warfare for millennia; they can also make for great wargames! Our theme this month – Retreat. Regroup. Rearguard! – features in four articles, spanning locations from the North Sea to Afghanistan to Chickamauga, plus several places in between. You will find rules, scenarios, and tips on figures and terrain, all based for dynamic or desperate R, R, and R tabletop battles.
